firefly lane *Updated with winner!

*Hubby drew Suz to win the book! Congrats Suz!*

firefly lane chronicles the friendship of Kate and Tully; from the time they first meet as 8th graders in 1974 through the next 30 years of their lives, as they weather the highs and lows, ups and downs of school, careers, men, and most importantly, their relationship with each other.

In hardcover, at almost 500 pages, the size of this book may look daunting for those of you with pesky needy children limited time to read. But trust me, it's a fast read.

And not to give away the ending (*sob*) but it was very unfortunate timing that I reached the conclusion of this book on the train. In front of strangers. As I sat there fighting back tears (unsuccessfully). ("Hey look at the woman over there clutching that book. Is she crying?")

So are you in the mood for a great beach read? How about a book that will remind you to cherish your bestest girlfriends? How about one that will bring a tear to your eye?

firefly lane, by New York Times bestselling author Kristin Hannah, does all that and more.
