The author of this book, Scott Wittig, and I went to college together.  So when he put out a call on Facebook for people to review his new venture, I couldn't help but be intrigued.  Especially by the title!

The manual is called Holy IT!  The Amazing Power of ClarITy:  A Guide to Finding and Doing Your Thing - Your 'IT'. 

Scott wants to know:  What are you doing about what you aren't doing?

Now THAT is a loaded question!

Scott summarizes, "This book is designed to take that question and go one step further by asking 'What are you willing to do about it?'  If the answer is NOTHING, then this book is not for you.  If the answer is I DON'T KNOW, BUT I'M DARN SURE GOING TO FIND OUT"...then grab a comfy seat and read on!

I read it in one sitting.  And it forced me to think.  To ponder.  To dream.  To become excited, yet fearful at the same time.  Reading this book helped me to realize that YES I CAN write more, write better, and write seriously.  HOLY IT!

What can I say?  I'm a sucker for a perfect PR pitch.  Which Lisa from TLC Book Tours delivered.

So no, I'm not pregnant.  Nor will I ever be again.  BUT.  I definitely have issues with my post-pregnancy body stemming from 3 c-sections in less than 4 years (2 of those within 12-1/2 months).

It just killed me to write that.  NO WONDER why my belly looks like Shrek's swamp!

Anyway.

Does This Pregnancy Make Me Look Fat?  The Essential Guide to Loving Your Body Before and After Baby by Claire Mysko and Magali Amadei is a no-holds barred, realistic guide about body image, the media, style, sex, and even breastfeeding.  I found it informative, well-written, amusing and quick to read.  And there was more than one section that I found myself nodding my head vigorously in agreement as I read.

Starting with a Healthy Beauty Pledge for Mothers and Mothers-to-Be (that acknowledges that there is no such thing as "perfect") and ending with lessons to be learned in (perceived) "Imperfection", this manual is a wonderful resource for any woman and would make a PERFECT baby shower gift!

Lemme tell you - this one has been a HIT in my Trenches!  On New Years Eve, we hosted a crowd that included 8 children of various ages.  As the evening progressed, when it became apparent that some Quiet Time was called for, this was what mesmorized all those rambunctious beasts.
